Music Canyon is a passionate music school dedicated to nurturing creativity and musical excellence. We offer a warm, encouraging environment for students of all ages and skill levels — from beginners taking their very first lesson to advanced students preparing for performance.

A humble yet accomplished bassist and teacher with extensive live performance experience — from Thai songs and pop music to classic hits of the 70s–90s. Specialising in soulful groove-based playing and bass slapping, Rocky is known for his ability to lock in seamlessly with any drummer's style. He has served as a resident musician in Johor Bahru, performing with Castle Entertainment, Big Tank Entertainment, YeeSin Event Management, and more. As a teacher, his systematic approach and wealth of stage experience guide students toward performing confidently — whether as soloists or as part of a band.
Classical, Acoustic, Electric Guitar & Ukulele
Beginning with classical guitar, Alex expanded into electric guitar, ukulele, and pop guitar over a career spanning more than 10 years of teaching and live performance. Passionate about helping students build confidence and a genuine love for music, he specialises in pop song accompaniment, blues, and rock — with a teaching approach that keeps learning fun, practical, and inspiring for students of all ages and skill levels.
Drums
I found drumming early in life, and it felt just like a favourite video game — exciting, immersive, and deeply rewarding the more you stuck with it. Instead of rushing, I learned to enjoy each step: following the rhythm, feeling the beat click into place, and watching skills build layer by layer. That gradual, joyful path to mastery is the approach I carry into every lesson.
